“Cedric the Politician”: 5 Celebrities in Local Campaign Videos

Unless youre a major presidential candidate, does having a celebrity endorsement do anything to boost your chances of winning?

If it were based on these videos of celebrities endorsing local candidates, the results are mixed at best.

Here are 5 Celebrities in Local Political Campaign Videos:

1. Cedric the Entertainer – Rodney Hubbard for State Senate

The best part about the Barbershop series headlines a roast for a local Missouri politician.

Impact? Rodney Hubbard lost his seat that year.

2. Macy Gray (Sean Astin and others) – Dan Adler for Congress

Could this be Macy Grays best performance since her infamous Star Spangled Banner performance?

Impact? Dan Adler only received 361 votes.

3. Mark Ruffalo – Maurice Hinchey for Congress

Impact? Maurice Hinchey was already a 9-term Congressman, so yes, he won.

4. M.C. Hammer ( & others) – Ed Lee for SF Mayor

Not only MC Hammer, but SF Giants pitcher Brian Wilson make cameos.

Impact? Who knows, the election is tomorrow.

5. Ed Asner – Marcy Winograd for Congress

Lou Grant supports ardent anti-war Dem Marcy Winograd in California

Impact? Marcy Wingrad lost.

Do you have any more great examples?

Leave them in the comments (were not opposed to doing a Round 2)!

One Response to “Cedric the Politician”: 5 Celebrities in Local Campaign Videos

  1. Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite reason seemed
to be on the internet the simplest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I certainly get irked while
people consider worries that they plainly do not know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects
, people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.
    Thanks
