VIDEO: 5 Local Candidates with Campaign Theme Songs

Remember in 2008 when Will.i.am made the music video for Obama’s campaign, “Yes We Can“, and even some conservatives were secretly jealous?

What if you tried to put the same principle to your local campaign for Congress, State Legislature, Judge?  Could it capture the essence of your position on eminent domain, or how about getting to the true nature of your stance on mandatory sentencing?

Below are five campaigns that have theme songs specific to their campaigns.

5. Jim Foley for Judge

Do people in Olympia, Washington actually call their city “Oley”?

4. Donald Payne for Congress

Although done by a supporter at an event, I wouldn’t be surprised if they took her on the road.

3. Mark Parea for Montana State Senate

Songster Brian J. Kenney also has one for Charles Rouse for California State Assembly, and he sure does manage to fit in the issues.

2. David Hendrick for U.S. Congress Music Video

Even the tea party can get into the musical act!

1. Vince Danet for Congress

We hope that by the end of the day, the words that are in your head are either “Holy Moly, Jim Foley”, or “Danet! Danet! Danet! Danet!”

Bonus!

Not a real campaign ad, but next to Jim Foley’s above, has to be one of the best campaign ads involving rap.
